Glenmore National School

Glenmore N.S. and Mount Palmer N.S. joined up for a marine biology day with Marine Biologist Connor Ryan. A great day was had by all as Connor provided a hands on experience for all of the children. The activities included an information based talk and the exploration of the creatures that can be found on our sea shore.
The children had the opportunity to examine live species of fish and seaweed such as Bladder wrack, Egg wrack and Dilisk. They learned about the importance of fishing as a profession in Ireland.
