How we made Lava Lamps.
We made our Lava Lamps with Alka-Seltzer, water, vegatable oil,a bottle and food colouring. It is best to get all dark colours on the food colouring like blue, red or green. We first measured out how much water and vegatable oil to use in a measuring jug. We put the water in the bottle and then we put the vegatable oil in the bottle. Then we put in the food colouring. Then we put in a half of an Alka-Seltzer and we put the top of the bottle on straight away. this created a lava lamp effect. A few minutes later we put in the other half of the Alka-Seltzer in the bottle and put the lid on the bottle straight away. Thats how we made our lava lamps.
